schedule – march 2025

Important scheduling update
Beginning April 2025, employee schedules will no longer be physically posted in the break room.
All future schedules, shift updates, availability requests, and call-offs will now be managed electronically through the Blockbuster Radio Employee App.
Please ensure:
– notifications are enabled
– login information is updated
– and your profile photo is something HR can legally look at during meetings
Employees who continue asking “Wait, am I closing Friday?” after April 1st will be directed back to the app with increasingly less sympathy.
additional notes:
– Break room corkboard will remain available for birthday flyers, passive aggressive notes, and emotionally loaded concert announcements.
– The microwave is still broken.
– Please stop writing “Internal Barking” under availability requests. It is not recognized as a scheduling conflict.
thank you
employee of the month – march 2025

Congratulations to Steve H. on being named Employee of the Month for March 2025. Again.
At this point, we’ve honestly stopped being surprised.
Whether he’s reorganizing the Thriller section without being asked, helping customers through suspiciously specific emotional crises, or quietly fixing the Friday night playlist before it spirals into full existential devastation, Steve continues to embody the Blockbuster Radio standard:
show up, stay late, and make everybody slightly more emotionally complicated by the end of the shift.
Coworkers describe Steve as:
– “calm under pressure”
– “strangely comforting” and
– “probably going through something, but in a productive way.”
Thank you, Steve, for your continued dedication to the store, the customers, and whatever exactly is happening in New Releases after 10PM.
